The MiLIVE2 is a pair of precisely matched microphones equipped with a complete stereo recording kit.

It is suitable for a wide range of applications that demand extremely high precision and detail, from stereo orchestral recordings to capturing large choral performances.

Stereo Microphone Scale Stand

The Relacart R-M18 is a device that can install two microphones in a stereo array and easily capture stereo sound. It has a clearly marked spacing of up to 20 cm, as well as angle and measurement indicators for ORTF and X-Y positioning. With a 3/8” mounting thread and the included spacing clip, it enables easy positioning of the stacked array. The sturdy ABS construction makes the R-M18 stereo stand stable and durable, allowing it to easily support the weight of two large diaphragm microphones. It is suitable for studio recordings, live stage performances, and other similar scenarios.

Stereo Technical Guidelines

Separate Dialogue Microphone Method

The conventional stereo technology utilizes the time difference between the left and right channels to generate a stereo effect, which can make the audio sound warm and rich. It is very practical for scenarios such as large choral performances and instrumental music playing. This stereo pickup method has advantages such as a wide pickup range and good low-frequency response.

Coincident Microphone Method

It can achieve excellent audio quality during recording. This stereo pickup method has advantages such as more accurate reproduction of human voices or instrument sounds and better compatibility with mono systems.

Near-coincident Microphone Method

It can generate a wider stereo effect. The advantage of this stereo pickup method is that it can more accurately position the sound.

Functional Features

Hypercardioid pickup pattern

The hypercardioid pickup pattern makes use of high sensitivity at the front end, which can better capture human voices and make them sound more pleasant and appealing.

48V Phantom Power

A phantom power supply ranging from 11V to 52V is required. It can be powered by the phantom power supply on the mixer, or by Relacart's P-48V1S single-channel phantom power supply.

Lightweight All-Metal Structure

Made of lightweight metal, it is lighter than other microphones. It can more effectively protect the built-in circuit board, resulting in a longer service life.

Stereo Array Mode

It supports the use of multiple MiLVE small diaphragm microphones according to different usage requirements and scenarios, and can form different stereo array modes.

Ultra-low noise

The characteristic of the cardioid directivity is that the sensitivity at the rear end is relatively weak, which can block part of the ambient sound.

XLR Output Connector

The XLR output connector can be connected to other professional studio equipment or live streaming sound cards.
