Recently, in response to the country's modernization drive, Beihang University decided to add a modern software, hardware and data development laboratory that can meet current experimental needs and adapt to future development.


Difficulty


Relacart engineers came to the newly built laboratory of Beihang University and found that the layout was completely different from that of conventional laboratories. The school's scientific researchers explained: Since software and hardware development is an emerging industry, it is more professional and has higher thresholds. Due to its high nature, the laboratory is designed in accordance with international standards, so it is completely different from the domestic design layout. At the same time, the researchers also pointed out that the equipment will be turned on for a long time when data is running, so good stability must be maintained.  


Solution


After many discussions between the Relacart engineering team and the equipment room administrator, combined with previous engineering experience and adapting to local conditions, it was decided to place a pc of CONFER X Dante wired digital automatic mixer in the flight case and five pcs of TDN1 Dante networked digital microphones in each row.



Since the laboratory is designed according to international standards, the indoor layout is wide and long. The traditional 9-pin-cable microphone will not only increase the budget cost due to the length of the wire, but also be difficult to manage the wire, resulting in the inability to immediately troubleshoot the fault when it occurs, thus affecting the teaching progress. The TDN1 Dante networked wired digital microphone uses a low-cost Category 5 network cable as the microphone power supply and audio transmission. The network cable can be directly hidden under the anti-static floor, which greatly improves the cleanliness and troubleshooting speed of the laboratory. At the same time, it supports Dante digital audio signal network transmission technology, which can support digital signal intercommunication between hundreds of Dante-supported devices and has a stable signal synchronization function. With the TDM wireless digital control software exclusively developed by Relacart, the microphone has IP address visualization and custom microphone high and low frequencies, frequencies, light colors and volume; unique troubleshooting function, press this function button, the LED light of the microphone will flash, and the location of the faulty microphone can be quickly found.

 


In order to make the equipment universal, we chose the CONFER X Dante wired digital mixer as the receiving microphone signal, which is the golden partner of the TDN series, The CONFER X Dante wired digital mixer also supports Dante audio transmission technology and has a dedicated operating software. Users can connect after installing the software on a PC or iPad, and can quickly and easily set detailed parameters such as channels, matrices, modes, systems, and groups. At the same time, the sound volume of the mixer itself can be adjusted to affect the sound reinforcement system, thereby adjusting the sound. Compared with other brands of mixers with backward technology and no operating software, this system has a clear interface and simple operation. Users can adjust it by themselves and easily get the perfect sound quality as they want.



System composition


This laboratory is composed to a modern network microphone audio system by 2 pcs of CONFER X Dante Networked Digital Automatic Mixer and 20 pcs of TDN-1 Dante Networked Microphone.
